Foundations Live, a collaboration between Hobson & Porter, Jewson, Jewson Partnership Solutions, Bishop Burton College, and CITB which brings the concept into a live event space.
Now in its seventh year, Foundations Live has brought thousands of people to Bishop Burton College’s Equine Arena to discover the best the construction industry has to offer
The event will be attended by a wide range of people from industry and education, including:
Organised groups of students will typically spend 2 – 2.5 hours on site, with groups arriving throughout the day. Each student will be given an activity pack to complete during their visit to encourage them to engage with exhibitors
For example, planners, architects, and engineers will be some of the first stands as you enter the arena, with landscaping and fencing being towards the rear of the hall. Attendees will ‘walk through’ a typical build sequence during their visit.
Non-standard stand sizes/plant – please speak to Rebecca Blades regarding your space requirements.
We encourage you to tag us in any posts regarding the event and use:

Set-up for stands is open 12:00 – 17:00 on Wednesday, 16 October 2024 and from 07:00 on Thursday, 17 October 2024, but please ensure your stand is ready for 09:30
If absolutely necessary, each stand can be accessed by vehicles. This should be done the day before the event and ideally reserved for access-critical stands such as foldout trailer stands and large pieces of kit. There will be no vehicular access to the stands on the day of the event due to the installation of pedestrian barriers to direct footfall.
Wi-Fi will be available on the day for all exhibitors, but the strength of signal cannot be guaranteed
A free lunch will be served for all exhibitors but please do not eat this in the arena itself, there is a catering facility outside the arena. Please try to avoid leaving your stand unattended wherever possible
Hot drinks and refreshments will be available throughout the day
Stand space is free of charge for the event, but we will be holding a raffle with all proceeds being donated to The Lighthouse Club, the construction industry charity which provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families. Any donations for this raffle would be very much appreciated.
More information about the charity can be found at: https://www.lighthouseclub.org
There is no specific dress code, but it is worth considering the sand-based surface of the arena. Please wear suitable footwear
Stand close-down will be approximately 15:00
There will be a risk assessment form you will need to complete and return prior to attending the event.
